Most football cards live in a drawer, a binder or a sleeve. Ours are made to go on the wall. A football card for wall display is the simplest way to turn your favourite player into wall art for a bedroom, a gaming room or the office, and it takes about thirty seconds to hang. Below you'll see how our football cards look on real walls, which size works where, and how to mount one without drilling a single hole.
Why a football card belongs on the wall
Every card we print is cut from rigid 3mm foamex, the same lightweight PVC board used for shop signage. It doesn't bend, it doesn't curl and it doesn't need glass or a frame to look finished. The matte print sits flat against the wall with clean edges all the way round, so the card shape itself becomes the artwork. At A4 a card weighs less than a paperback, which is why it can hang on a magnet rather than a nail.
That combination is what makes a football card wall display different from a football poster. A poster needs a frame to stop looking like a poster. A foamex card already has the depth and the silhouette of a FIFA Ultimate Team card, so you hang it and you're done. If you're after football wall art that looks like the game rather than a print of a photo, this is it.
Which size for which wall: A4 vs A3 vs A2
All our pre-made player cards come in three sizes, and the right one depends on how far away you'll be looking at it.
| Size | Dimensions | Best for | From |
|---|---|---|---|
| A4 football card | 21 × 29.7 cm | Desk, shelf, bedside table, a cluster of three or four in a kids' bedroom | £13.99 |
| A3 football card | 29.7 × 42 cm | Our most popular wall size. Readable across the room, three in a row still fit above a bed or sofa | £21.49 |
| A2 football card | 42 × 59.4 cm | One statement piece above a TV unit, a desk or a gaming setup | £29.85 |
A4 (21 × 29.7 cm) is the "real-life sized" card. It's the one to pick for a desk, a shelf, above a bedside table or as part of a group of three or four on a kids' bedroom wall.
A3 (29.7 × 42 cm) is our most popular size for walls. Big enough to read the stats from across the room, small enough that three in a row still fit above a bed or a sofa.
A2 (42 × 59.4 cm) carries a wall on its own. If you want one statement piece above a TV unit, a desk or a gaming setup, this is it.
A good rule: one A2 for a focal point, A3 for a row, A4 for a cluster. Orders over £30 ship free within the UK, so two A3 cards or one A2 plus the mounting kit qualify. Full details are on our shipping page.
Football card wall ideas
The Icons wall
Four legends in a row on a dark wall is the gaming-room classic. The Icon cards share the same cream and gold palette, so they read as a set even when the players span five decades. Pair them with a Maradona, a Pelé or a Zidane and you have a football wall that says something about your taste, not just your club.
The kids' bedroom wall
Three A4 cards of their current favourites, hung at their eye level. They're light enough that a magnet holds them, so when next season's hero changes you swap the card, not the wall. Premier League cards are the usual pick for a UK bedroom, with England players a close second.
The single statement piece
One A2 on an otherwise empty wall. It works in an office because it's clean and graphic rather than a poster, and it works in a hallway because it's the first thing people ask about. A Real Madrid or Manchester United card in A2 is the classic choice.
Your own card next to the TV
The most popular wall card we sell isn't a pro at all. It's a personalised football card with your own photo, name, club and stats, and it tends to end up right where everyone can see it. You build it in our card designer, approve a proof by email, and it prints on the same foamex as every player card.
How to hang a football card on the wall without drilling
Foamex is light, so you have three options and none of them involve a drill.
1. Magnetic wall mounting kit. This is what we recommend. A small adhesive magnet plate goes on the wall, its partner goes on the back of the card, and the card clicks into place. It holds any size from A4 to A2, comes off cleanly when you move, and lets you swap cards in seconds. It's £6.99 and it's the reason our cards don't need frames. Get the wall mounting kit.
2. Lean it on a shelf. Because the board is rigid, an A3 or A2 leans against a wall on a shelf, a desk or a mantelpiece without slumping. Zero fixings, and you can move it around until you're happy.
3. Stand it up. For A4 and A3 cards on a desk or bedside table, the clear acrylic card stand holds the card upright at a slight angle, like a trophy.
Hanging tip: hang the centre of the card at roughly 145 cm from the floor for an adult room, lower for a kids' room. For a row, keep the same gap between cards as the width of one A4 sheet and the row will look intentional rather than crowded.

Quick answers
- Do the cards come with a frame?
- No, and they don't need one. The 3mm foamex board is rigid with clean cut edges, so the card hangs on its own. Add the magnetic wall mounting kit if you want it on the wall.
- Will the magnetic mount damage my wall?
- The mount uses an adhesive plate that peels off cleanly from painted walls. No holes, no filler.
- Which size should I get for above a bed or sofa?
- A3 if you're hanging two or three in a row; A2 if you want one card to do the job on its own.
- Can I put my own face on a wall card?
- Yes. Every personalised card uses your photo, name, club and stats, and it prints on exactly the same foamex as the player cards. Personalised cards start from £12.69.
- Is it safe in a kids' room?
- Foamex is light and shatterproof, which is a big part of why we use it instead of glass frames.
- How long does delivery take?
- Orders are processed within 7 to 10 business days, then UK delivery is 1 to 5 business days depending on the Royal Mail service you choose. Standard UK delivery is free on orders over £30. See the shipping policy or track your order.
- Do you ship outside the UK?
- Yes. Cards are printed and dispatched from the UK and ship worldwide. More answers on our FAQ page.
